Cookbook shopping..

Just thought I'd share that I ordered "The Amish Cook:Recollections and Recipes from an Old Order Amish Family" by Lovina's mother, Elizabeth Coblentz today. I found it new at Amazon for $18.45. Can't wait for it to get here!!!Smile

That is the book that introduced me to the "Amish Cook" - about 4 years ago.  Still love it.

And Jessica...it's a must-have in my kitchen...and my mom's...and both of my sisters'...  See a trend there?  If you're anything like me Wink you just have to have it!!

I would like to buy that as well.  I have the new one and plan on getting the baking one when that comes out..............so much stuff to save up money for!!

I have all of the Amish Cook cookbooks and love them all :-)  My favs, though, have to be the "Best of" vol. 1 and 2.  I didn't start reading the column until 2003 or so, and it was really nice to read what I missed out on while Elizabeth was writing :-)

Thanks Barb, Elizabeth and I wrote that book almost 8 years ago, but I think it has held up well through the years.  I hope you enjoy it!
