Amish Cook Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Brownies

I just made a batch of these for a bake sale.  I'm not sure if they are going to make it long enough to get to the sale Tongue out  They look and smell sooooo good, that I just want to eat them all!

Has anyone else made these before, and if so what did you think about them?

I've made them about 2 years ago and I think they are the greatest thing EVER!  Unfortunately, they are extremely rich and if you eat too many you get a belly ache.  The belly ache is well worth it though.

Re: Amish Cook Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Brownies

It's been a few years since I saw it...so I'm not sure exactly.  They are more of a "Blondie" than a brownie since they aren't chocolate.  Here's the recipe:

CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL BROWNIES

1 cup butter

2/ 3 cup white sugar

1 /2 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 /4 teaspoon nutmeg

2 cups chocolate chips

2 /3 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 cups oatmeal

Beat butter, sugars, and eggs until fluffy.  Blend in dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Spread into 9X13 inch pan.  Sprinkle with the rest of the chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
