Peanut Butter Whoopie Pies
I just did a search looking for different "flavor" Whoopie Pies and there are recipes for Pumpkin, Banana and Peanut Butter. I do think I will get brave and try the Peanut Butter. Love the choclate recipe in Lovina's mom's cookbook.

Spaghetti and Ice Cream
Delicious combination, no? I am in need of a couple of good recipes, and I decided to pick the brains of my fellow board-members :-)
Does anyone have a homemade ice cream recipe that does NOT call for eggs? I want to make more of a white, store-bought-like ice cream (rather than tan-colored). Or even a recipe for ice milk, which I absolutely CAN NOT find.
I am also looking for a good, homemade and can-able spaghetti sauce recipe. I have played around with this and am still looking for one that I really like. (The packets of Mrs Wages "Spaghetti Sauce" seasoning don't do it for me, either... the smell when it is cooking is particularly nauseating to me :P )

I'm headed out to Columbus, Ohio later this morning with Rachel to visit my soon-to-be sister-in-law. Weird to think of my Rachel's kid sister as a sister-in-law, but that is how these engagement/marriage things work!:)Anyway, I thought like any good business owner I'd take advantage of today to sample my customer's preferences. Only a handful of you read my recent restaurant review about Der Dutchman Amish Kitchen in Waynesville, Ohio, but a gazillion of you read my brief thoughts about TLC's Jon & Kate Plus Eight. Very few of you read about "Pinecraft Days" in the "Amish in the News" section. Only a handful of you read recently about "Mennonite Music" in the News section, but many of you checked out the story about the Amish store in Yoder, Kansas burning to the ground.
So, tell me what you want on this site? Or do you like it just as is? Do you want more blog, less blog? More news, less news? What kind of blog entries? What kind of news? Do you want me to raid the recipe archives more and post more recipes? I've kind of slacked off on that lately. Any feedback is appreciated and I'll do my best to incorporate suggestions!
